Studio 313 goes Natural!

The new February challenge at the
is here!
The theme this month is: 'Natural Elements-HSC1', such as hemp twine, fibers, raffia, twigs;  natural wood or mulberry papers; sand, seashells, etc.

The prize is $25 of digital images/stamps from
Shawne's selection at Studio 313 and you have an entire month to create!
Studio 313 is now housed at
(click to go there).
What are you waiting for...
come on and join us at the
'Hotspot'
(click the badge below to go there)!

Grab this challenge badge while your at it! *wink*
As I was searching through my 'stash' I found some yummy fibery mulberry paper that I hadn't used in...a long time...look at those fibers! Then I found some raffia, and yup, I haven't used that in a long time either.
This monochromatic card uses the Studio 313
Bird on a Frail Branch Digital Stamp (love this!),
and the
Bird Song Olive Digital Paper.
These digital elements are so easy to print them out as is.  Shawne allows you to resize the image, so I increased the size of the quote and cut out one of the birds to attach to the ribbon and colored it with Copics.
Remainder of items on this card:
Cardstock is SU Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, Basic Black
Specialty Paper is a medium green mulberry paper (no idea who made this)
Ink is SU Always Artichoke and Old Olive; Copic Markers
Accessories are Spellbinders Curved Rectangles dies; SU Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Natural Hemp Twine, Black Raffia
Don't forget to join in on the challenge and link up your card at the Hotspot! If you post your card in a public forum, please attach the code HSC1 too!

Thank you so much for visiting today and I will leave you with a thought to ponder:
'Can mulberry paper make a come back?'

I created this card using 'Molly'...I think she needed to celebrate (my celebrate charm) the new year too!
You can't tell by the picture much, but she is glittery from my Spica Markers:
From Studio 313

At Studio 313, Shawne created this cutie patootie angel baby, so I had to create this card.  This is really out of my comfort zone, and I just started putting this lace around the image and here is the end result...isn't she darling?!:

Welcome to this week's world of color at Studio 313!

This is the second inspiration challenge for Studio 313!  Why don't you have a little fun and play along!  Go to the Studio 313 Hotspot (challenge blog) and post a link to your creation, or if you  upload to SCS or another forum, put 'SHC2' as the tag for this challenge.  You never know, you may win some goodies from Shawne...like ummm....$25.00 worth of products from the Studio 313 Exclusive Creations digi store!  Here's the inspiration:

For me, I saw lots of busy colors and I was inspired by that ball of colors and felt 'rainbow, brights, colorful, lines'...so, I thought I should color 'Molly Clowning Around from Studio 313, with my COPIC markers.  She comes in black digital outline, or for those of you in a hurry...she is also pre-colored!  How cool is that? At the Studio 313 store, she is listed under the Characters tab:
From Studio 313
Shawne, the owner of Studio 313 created this little Molly...isn't she a doll?

Thank you for taking a look today!  Don't forget to drop by Studio 313 to participate in this challenge!  I look forward to seeing what your take on this inspiration is!
P.S.  You don't have to use a Studio 313 image if you don't have one...use your own for a chance to win some Studio 313 images~!!!

Studio 313 ~ sweet friend ~ Wee Memories Challenge!

I created this card with Studio 313's 'Hey Sweet Thang' digital stamp set and the background paper is the 'Hey Sweet Thang--vintage designer paper'.

Jenny's challenge at Wee Memories was to use a 'writing' theme and incorporate it into your project.  The challenge is ending quickly, so I had to get this posted!  I created the cupcake paper with the single sentiment 'sweet friend' from Studio 313's (same set that I mentioned above).  It was so simple to do!  I'm loving these digital images to work with!

Studio 313 has a solution for you!

You've had one of those days when you needed a card and didn't have one made for the occasion, right? Don't you sometimes wish that you didn't have to search through your stash to figure out which embellies and papers to use?

Shawne at Studio 313 knows that we all have those days.  That's why she created 'Card on a Sheet'!  You get a main image, the designer paper, the border and a sentiment or two ALL in one sheet, AND it's already pre-colored!  All you need to do is PRINT, CUT and PUT IT TOGETHER and ~VOILA~ your card is done!  You could add other embellies if you'd like, but you really don't need to.

I used the Designer Birthday Cake Set to make this card.  All I did was score some lines to frame the image, and add some ribbon...
From Studio 313
Here's the inside sentiment:

Digital Set: Studio 313--Designer Birthday Cake

I printed the images on 'shimmery' cardstock and layered the cake three times:
