Unity HHH!

Happy Hip Hop Hangover friends! Wasn't yesterday's DT blog hop inspiring? I loved the Unity Christmas in June theme...but I'm not following that theme, so hope you don't mind.

I just received my Retro BBQ stamp set in the mail and I had to use it! All stamps are Unity Stamp Co., and all other items are Stampin' Up and the new In-Colors that will be available July 1st! I wanted to make small cards that I could attach to a bottle of wine or gift to someone, so I made 3x3 cards (I took a pic of the wrong card and this one has the sentiment a little crooked, and it's late, and I can't get a good picture...geez!):

"Hip Hop Hangover with a Cherry on Top"

Hello Unity fans! Don't you just ~LUV~ that June KOTM "perfect in every way"? I absolutely love every stamp in this kit! I used the "sweet cherry frame, the cherry sentiment, and I paper pieced the cherry stamp on my card.

Unity has some great deals...don't miss out on the Hip Hop sales...lots of great deals for 30% off here! This card is also the SCS Sketch Challenge #233 for June 17th.

Stampin' Up! has new In Colors coming out in July and I have a sneak peek of some of the new In Colors on this card. I used Crushed Curry for the card base; Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo for the layers; along with Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. Also, some of the new coordinating polka dot grosgrain ribbon...I'm loving these new colors, In Colors, that is!

I played with this frame image and originally put some color behind the cherries, in the white space...but I didn't like the look and it took away from the cherries, so I ended up leaving no color behind them...does it look too plain?

Unity Hip Hop Hangover peeps...

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog for Unity Hip Hop Hangover! Unity has so many amazing deals *again*, so don't miss out...go shop here!

This card that I'm sharing was actually inspired by Miss LuvLee for her inspiration challenge on June 1st. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it and never entered it for her challenge...(hmmmm, I wonder if I'm the only one who makes a challenge card and doesn't get it posted?) *smile* Okay, so you've got to go visit Lee's blog! She is on many DT's (design teams) and does a fabulous job with her projects...go pay her a visit here if you'd like to be inspired too!

The inspiration was from Lee's photo of flowers here, and this is what I came up with:

Pretty Princess Card

I'm sharing this acetate card that I made for my friend's daughter...it was her birthday and she loves being a princess! It's all Stampin' Up! supplies, except for the acetate card. I couldn't get the stickles bling to show up on this pic, but it's shiny!

Hippy Hoppy Hangover...

Can somebody tell me what time is it? It's Tool Time, uh, I mean it's Hip Hop Hangover in Unity style (sorry a Tool Time re-run was on the tv). Do you remember Tim the Toolman Taylor? Okie dokie, let's get back to...HHH, which is blog hopping on customer sites to see their Unity creations!

I really wanted to try and get in two cards today, but it just didn't happen. I am showing you a card that I made for Jeanne's Unity LadyBug challenge: use red, black and white (no ladybug required). Since I have never ever made one of those cute popsicle ice cream cards, I decided to try it. It was sooooo simple and easy peasy...I think I will make a set of these cards for a gift!

I used the Unity Mixed Up of Cuteness stamp set...a really cute stamp set and everything else is SU cardstock and supplies and a popsicle stick!
From Unity Projects

Paper: Textured Real Red, Whisper White, Cerise (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark, Real Red
Accessories: Black Detail Embossing Powder, Red Gingham Ribbon, Circle Punches, Scallop Punch

Don't forget to check out all the Unity goodness on the Unity blog and all the customer blogs! Also, you really need to take a look at the Unity Blog for all the amazing specials for this weekend!
Thanks for hangin' over with me!

Happy Monochromatic!

It's Wednesday and I'm posting a card from the Unity KOTM Monochromatic Challenge! The Unity May KOTM "another sweet day" set is so awesome...I love every stamp in it! I paper pieced the cute birdhouse, and used the *enjoy your day* stamp and the little flowers on the top note die. I decided to stay with the SU! In Colors before they retire: Pacific Point and Baja Breeze.

For the corners, I stamped the corner stamp in the Unity May KOTM kit; then I used the Eyelet Border punch and placed white behind those two corners to make it stand out.

Used some Pacific Point ribbon and a filigree brad and that's it!
