Happy Happy Monday!
I'm back with another Growing in Unity card today, showcasing one of our
Make sure you see yesterday's post, as I actually started Growing in Unity yesterday!
Do you have any of those baseball card protectors? Well, I used one of those sheets and cut out two of the card slots to create this card base.
Here's the info: I inserted chocolate cardstock with polka dot paper, cut with a Spellbinders Label 4 die and a little tie of embroidery thread for the background to be placed inside the pocket. I colored the cupcakes with Copics, and cut out them out to embellish the outside (now it's really tricky when trying to photograph the baseball card protectors due to the glare, so I'm sorry, I could not eliminate the glare totally):
Here is the inside of the card, again placing chocolate polka dot cardstock over blue cardstock inside the card slot. Then embellishing the outside using the Spellbinders die Labels 4 with the sentiment, and colored, cut out and popped up one little cupcake and some pretty flower ribbon:
Here's a close up of the cupcakes and you can see them popped up at various heights:
You need to use a bone folder to crease the card holder in order for it to stay folded. But it really makes such an easy card base, and you can easily switch it around for different looks.
I will not take credit for using the baseball card holder, as I have seen it used as scrap book pages in many different places, i.e., Debby Schuh classes.
But I thought...why not use it as a card base? So what do you think?
I created this card based on the challenge over at Ribbon Carousel and was inspired by the cupcake and it's colors:
You have until Monday at midnight to enter this challenge.
Also, don't forget to leave a comment to be entered in the Growing in Unity drawing...
you could win 2 Itty Bitty's of your choice! More details on yesterday's post below.
And if you NEED some {ippity}, I would love to be YOUR {ippity} chick! All you need to do is click on my picture when placing your order on the Unity website!
Thank you so much for coming by today!
