Have you heard of a "Meander Book"? The meander (or maze) book gets its name from the way the paper is cut and folded to make the pages...the base of the book is made out of ONE 12x12 sheet of paper that is not completely cut apart! I wanted a single book that I could put all the quotes in from the latest {ippity} collection "Delightful Little Things", so I created a Meander Book with all the quotes (and lots of tags)...I love these quotes!  I also discovered the Paper Sundaes Twentieth Challenge, which is the colors 'Kraft and Blue', so I'm participating in that challenge too:

Here's my birthday card to Lindsay, based on the sketch for our first Whimsy Haven Sketch challenge, using the cupckakes from her new 'Sweet Tooth' set. I flipped the sketch, and the cupcakes on the bottom represent the scallops. Lindsay was talking about chocolate cake the other day, so I gave her a variety of cupcakes...chocolate, yellow, pink cherry (you have to look closely), and I certainly put lots of sprinkles :

This is the inside of the card.  I printed out the cupcake in light gray ink, so that I could write over it and leave it in the background:

White Lace {ippity}

So...I wanted to do another 'lace' card for Karen's {ippity} challenge IHHC23, and I found a spool of lace in my stash. I love this lace, but can you believe that I have had this spool of 2 1/2" wide lace for over 30 years? Yup, I said it, I feel like a hoarder, but I have used it...it was a large spool...ha! I used 'pinks' on my card to also join in on the Wee Memories 'pink challenge #6' and also the City Crafter's challenge.

I used a 9" piece of my lace to make this lace flower on my card...I just love it! Here's where I found a tutorial at Honeybee Hill. I stamped the flowers from the {ippity} Now and Always set on white c/s, white embossed the flowers, and used the emboss resist technique to sponge in pinks, and then cut around the top of the flowers and adhered to the white b/g:

For me, I saw lots of busy colors and I was inspired by that ball of colors and felt 'rainbow, brights, colorful, lines'...so, I thought I should color 'Molly Clowning Around from Studio 313, with my COPIC markers.  She comes in black digital outline, or for those of you in a hurry...she is also pre-colored!  How cool is that? At the Studio 313 store, she is listed under the Characters tab:

For FwFF, I'm sharing a card that I made from the April Stampin' Store Kit, "Super Sweet & Stuck on You"...I LOVE THIS KIT!  I think this frame and butterfly are too cool:

I put a layer of vellum with the frame stamped on it, over the butterfly.  Then stamped another butterfly, cut it out and placed it on pop dots and tied some hemp to make it look like the butterfly antenaes.

Happy Friends with Flair Friday!  Unity had such a fabulous par-tay this past week celebrating their 2nd anniversary...way to go Unity!

I'm sharing a card today that I made for one of the challenges by Maren, which is to create from something you were inspired by in a Paper Crafts publication: USCAC5.  Now I don't know about you, but I have several Paper Crafts publications, so I chose something out of my current Paper Crafts magazine for May/June 2010.  On page 27on the right hand side, there is a Mother's Day Card with scallops. 

Well, this card is the opposite, 'cause it's a DAD card, but I was inspired by the simplicity of the sketch and the color scheme.  But, I dunno...I'm thinking I need to paper piece those trees with some lighter colors or perhaps stamp them in a vanilla ink...what do you think?

Studio 313 ~ sweet friend ~ Wee Memories Challenge!

I created this card with Studio 313's 'Hey Sweet Thang' digital stamp set and the background paper is the 'Hey Sweet Thang--vintage designer paper'. 

Jenny's challenge at Wee Memories was to use a 'writing' theme and incorporate it into your project.  The challenge is ending quickly, so I had to get this posted!  I created the cupcake paper with the single sentiment 'sweet friend' from Studio 313's (same set that I mentioned above).  It was so simple to do!  I'm loving these digital images to work with!

OMG, Lindsay has gone rubbah!

Red rubber, that is!  Woohoo, I just had to post this exciting news...Lindsay Spencer, yes, the same Lindsay who creates the fantastic digital images for Whimsy Haven, is also creating for Paper Makeup Stamps (PMS) in red rubbah! Lindsay's first set includes flower sillouettes and fabulous wordart with the themes of Faith, Hope and Love.  PMS's design team is showing sneak peeks today!

Whimsy Haven will still have digital images and PMS will have another line in red rubbah...isn't that exciting?!!!
