Dad...

Happy Friends with Flair FridayUnity had such a fabulous par-tay this past week celebrating their 2nd anniversary...way to go Unity!

I'm sharing a card today that I made for one of the challenges by Maren, which is to create from something you were inspired by in a Paper Crafts publication: USCAC5.  Now I don't know about you, but I have several Paper Crafts publications, so I chose something out of my current Paper Crafts magazine for May/June 2010.  On page 27on the right hand side, there is a Mother's Day Card with scallops.

Well, this card is the opposite, 'cause it's a DAD card, but I was inspired by the simplicity of the sketch and the color scheme.  But, I dunno...I'm thinking I need to paper piece those trees with some lighter colors or perhaps stamp them in a vanilla ink...what do you think?
From Unity and {ippity} Projects
Stamps: February KOM-Nothing but Blue Skies
C/S: SU Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Prints Close to Cocoa DSP
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Chocolate Chip Polytwill Ribbon, Button, Punch

On Tuesday's post below, is the card I made for another challenge by Carole.  This challenge was to use my first Unity stamp set that I purchased...it was Beach Days and Sun Rays...more details are on the Tuesday post, but here it is:

Oooh, before I forget...

These are great Jen!!! The 1st card is so simple and so beautiful, I love it!!! Don't know why the C&S cards are so hard for me to do, I need to work on them more because I love the look.
